I have saved many PDF files to my computer for later printing or use-Every now and then the file will not open -it asks for a password-I never used one or put one in?-Where does this come from?

    Hi dianad1950,

It sounds like the people who created these PDFs applied password security to them. You can tell by looking at the title bar: If you see the word "SECURED," then a password has been applied, and you'd have to get it from the person who created the PDF.

    Hi dianad1950,
