Why can't I apply OCR to an existing pdf file?

Does it mean I may only apply OCR to images? If that's the only possibility, I want my subscription refunded.

    Hi Gustavol,

Could you confirm the exact application you are working with?

We see that you have subscribed for the Adobe PDF Pack (Apple iTune), which was originally purchased from iTune.

Adobe Export PDF/PDF Pack supports optical character recognition, or OCR, when you convert a PDF file to Word (.doc and .docx), Excel (.xlsx), or RTF (rich text format). OCR is the conversion of images of text (scanned text) into editable characters, so that you can search, correct, and copy the text.

What type of file you are working with? OCR can be performed on images which contain text or scanned documents (containing text). If you are willing to cancel the subscription you have purchased, then you may contact to Apple support.

    Regards,

    Akanchha
