Why can't i print a pdf file, it's asking for a password and i have no idea what it is it's never asked me before?

why can't I print a pdf file, it's asking for a password and I have no idea what it is it never asked for one before?

    YES BUT I NEED TO PRINT IT TO SIGN IT. WHAT DO I DO?

    Hi kim's forum,

    Have you printed this specific PDF file before? It sounds like the PDF has security applied to restrict printing, which is why it's asking you to enter a password (you can tell by looking at the title bar--do you see "SECURED"?).

    Yes and that's the problem it won't let me print wo the password, never needed it or used ut b4? Kim Morse

    Have you been able to print that same file before without a password? Passwords are set at the file level, and not all PDF files are password protected (I'd say the majority are not).

    If you'd like, I'd be happy to take a look at the file for you.
