Why can't I sync the file I downloaded to my kindle from acrobat.com?

I downloaded a PDF file from acrobat.com to my kindle, added comments using the Adobe Reader, and I can't figure out how to upload the changes back to acrobat.com. Is this possible? Since I downloaded the file directly to the Reader, it doesn't exist anywhere on the kindle that I can readily get to it. TIA.
