Why is the font of a pdf file (calibri) changed when converting to a word document (arial)?

The pdf file ends up not looking like the original. I read one response where the answer was something like "we are expecting too much". Really? I don't think that a pdf document using a calibri font converted to a word document should have a calibri font is expecting too much. I hope I am doing something wrong rather than that being the explanation. Please assist.  Thanks

    Hey edee_em,

    I tried to replicate the issue at my end & the fonts were similar after conversion to Word as they were in the PDF.

    Seems to be some issue with the file which you are trying to convert.

    Please try to replicate the issue with some different PDF files & check.

    Hi edee_em,

    Please make sure you are using latest Acrobat Reader DC (Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions) to use the Export PDF services, else you can also try to Export the PDF online at https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf‌


    Try to replicate the issue & let me know how it goes.


    Also, let me know if it is specific to a PDF file or its with all the PDF file?

    Hi aadeshs

    I downloaded the update you suggested but that didn't solve the font issue. i suspect the original document may have some other fonts in play. So far I notice only the letters "t", "f" and "r" are affected. They are larger than the other letters and look bolded. Checking the bold setting shows that they are not bolded. They are just "fatter" than the other letters.
