why won't DC convert to pdf first 3 pages of doc in word for mac 2011

I have written a 542 page novel in word for Mac 2011. Every time I try to convert it to PDF, it coverts pages 4 to 539 perfectly but skips pages 1, 2, and 3. Any idea what is wrong?

How are you creating the PDF?

Are you using Adobe PDF Pack to convert the document to PDF? Or Adobe Acrobat? Or are you using the Save As PDF feature in Word for Mac? Or are you trying to Print to PDF from the Print dialog? Or something else?
