Adobe Express Constantly Crashing

Everytime I try to creat a project or edit an old one (exampe: instagram post or reel), Adobe Express crashes as soon as I attempt to place or replace an image or video either with something from the free library or from files saved on my computer. The screen goes black a moment and then I'm told Adobe has recovered my file. The screen buffers a moment as if it's going to load my project, but then it doesn't. When I refresh the browser, I receive an error message that reads: Something's missing...your system is not supported. I tap on the link to the support article and have gone through the checklist of requirments. I meet them all: Windows 11, most recent Chrome version, over 5TB of memory, etc. I am at my wit's end having spent over 2 hours on something that should have taken 5 minutes to produce. I appreciate any suggestions anyone may have.

I have also been having this same problem.  I have checked all the recquirments and everything is active etc but it keeps crashing over and over everytime I go to add a video to my project.

Hi @Astonished_maker5783,

Thanks for the update, and sorry again for the trouble.

To help us investigate further, could you please share the following details?

  • The version of Adobe Express you're using (Web, Desktop app, or Mobile — and version number if possible)

  • Your device model and operating system (e.g., Windows 11 on Dell XPS 15, macOS on MacBook Air, etc.)

This info will help our engineering team pinpoint the issue more accurately. Looking forward to your response so we can get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

Hi @_JennMason_, Welcome to our Adobe Express Community!

Thanks for reaching out and sharing such a detailed explanation. We understand how frustrating this must be, especially after investing so much time.

Since you've gone through the system requirements, please confirm if JavaScript, Hardware Acceleration is enabled for your browser, and WebGL, WebAssembly are supported.

You can check all these using this article.

Additionally, have you tried using Adobe Express in a private/incognito browsing window? If the issue doesn't occur there, we recommend clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

We'd also suggest reviewing and disabling active browser extensions/plugins, as some may interfere with the app's functionality.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello @Amitej S ,

Thanks for your patience on my reply. My university's email inbox stopped forwarding incoming messages, so I completely missed this reply.

I can confirm that JavaScript and Hardware Acceleration are enabled and WebGL and WebAssembly are supported all in my chrome settings. I tried editing a video project in an incognito window and the system still crashed. In fact, it has been attempting to recover my crashed file for the last 20 minutes to no avail over on Incognito...

I only run 2 plug-ins/extensions: AdBlockPlus and the Wolf Security program for my computer.  I can't turn off Wolf. I'd rather not turn off AdBlock and then get bombarded. (Also, I used AdBlock on my old laptop and ran Adobe Express with zero problems. I've wondered if Wolf is the issue, but then, everyone else having this same problem is likely to have a different security system, so that seems an unlikely culprit.)

Other thoughts/solutions/system checks?

With thanks for your time and insights,
Jenny
