Question

Adobe Express file approvals show a 'Something went wrong. Feedback could not be sent. Please try again.' error message if an approver tries 'Needs work' or 'Approve' leaving feedback. 'Approve' without feedback works. Basic troubleshooting doesn't resolve the issue - clearing browser cache, incognito window, different web browsers, tested with multiple files and approvers. We’re using the simple approval process and do not have access to Workfront. How do we resolve this issue without additional steps?

Note: During troubleshooting, the only thing that seems to resolve the error is asking the user who requested approval share the file with the approver. This is an additional, clunky step in the approval process. We hope to avoid it for better UX.

Hi @Phoenix_1965!

Thank you for such a thorough report - the troubleshooting steps you've already tried and the fact that you've isolated the workaround is really helpful for our team. This does sound like a bug in the approval feedback flow, and I've flagged it internally for investigation.

Could you share a screen recording of the error if possible?

We'll follow up here once we have more information. Thanks again for the detail!

Hi Rose, I don’t have a screen recording but this is the error message as it appears anytime we try needs work with feedback or approve with feedback. Try again results in the same error message.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot @Phoenix_1965,

To investigate further, could you please share your Adobe ID via private message? Also, share the console logs from your browser. You can check this link to know how to collect console logs- https://support.google.com/docs/thread/1873663/collecting-console-logs-chrome-browser-only?hl=en
