All Adobe Express Brand Templates Suddenly Marked as "Unsupported" – Unable to Open or Migrate

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a serious issue with our Adobe Express Branding.

All of our previously working templates have suddenly been moved to the "Unsupported" section within our Brand.

Until recently, we could open, edit, and use these templates directly in Adobe Express without any problems. Now, none of them can be opened or edited.

Here's what I've already tried:

  • Tested in both Safari and Chrome – same issue.

  • Created a new project to migrate the templates, but the project does not appear as a destination when trying to copy or move them.

  • Tried opening the templates directly, but there is no option to "Start a new file".

  • Checked the Projects section, but none of the original templates are available there.

The templates are still visible as thumbnails in our Brand, but Adobe Express labels all of them as "Unsupported". Our logos, colors, and fonts are still accessible.

Has anyone experienced the same issue, particularly following Adobe's changes to how Brand templates are managed?

Is there a way to restore access to these templates or migrate them into the new Projects system without losing the original editable designs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, this is related to Adobe's change moving templates from Brands to Projects. Adobe's documented way to move a template is:

    1. From the Adobe Express homepage, select Brands.

    2. Select a brand, then navigate to the template you want to move.

    3. Select Start a new file.

    4. Select Share > Convert to template.

    5. Navigate to Your stuff to access your templates.

Two things from Adobe's migration FAQ are worth checking: only users with edit access to the brand can move templates, so please confirm you have edit access (view-only access won't show the move option). And Adobe's FAQ says: if you are experiencing errors or are unable to move your template, contact customer support — that is the route Adobe gives for templates that can't be moved, including ones showing as Unsupported.

If you do contact support, it will help to mention that the templates show as "Unsupported" in the Brand and that no "Start a new file" option appears. Hope you get them back!
