App making multiple copies of projects

Hi

Can anyone help please? Every time I open a project, and edit any of the images within it, upon closing the project the app duplicates the entire tab and creates a new one which it puts at the top of the list. This has resulted in dozens of duplicate images contained within various tabs if up to 30 images. How do I stop this from happening?!
