Bug Adobe Express flyer edits fail or apply partially

Customizing a flyer returned INVALID_ARGUMENT / "Template Fill Failed." Some successful edits applied only part of the requested changes, leaving overlapping text.     Following up on this - our team was able to dig into the logs and identify what happened.
    When the AI assistant tried to completely remove a text element (replacing it with nothing), it hit a current limitation - empty string replacements aren't supported yet.

    Instead of asking it to delete or replace text with nothing, try asking it to replace the text with a single space, or just manually delete the text after the other edits are applied.
    It's a known gap and something the team is working on improving. Thanks for your patience while we looked into it!

    • Can you explain further what you were trying to customize within the flyer?

    • Were you editing directly in Adobe Express, using the AI Assistant (beta), or through a third-party tool or integration?

    • About how many text changes were you trying to make when it failed, compared to the simpler version that worked?

    Hi Rose,

    This happened through the Adobe integration in ChatGPT, rather than directly in Adobe Express or Express AI Assistant (beta).

    I was customizing a flyer for Saffron Cafe’s new matcha drinks: changing the cafe name and promotional text, replacing the drink image with iced matcha, and adding the address. After text overlapped, I asked it to shorten the copy and remove the old template’s extra promotional text.

    The workflow returned INVALID_ARGUMENT / “Template Fill Failed.” Some attempts applied only part of the changes and left old text behind. A simplified retry eventually produced a preview without overlapping text.

    I don’t have a reliable count of individual text edits in the failed versus successful attempts. The simplified version kept just the cafe name, matcha headline and address, removing the remaining old copy.

    Could you route this to the team responsible for the Adobe integration in ChatGPT?
