Cannot download file in the same format that I created it with. HELP!

Question

This is about my final, which is due in a few hours. EVERY TIME I try to download my project, it forces me to select a file type that is not acceptable to turn in, which is wildly different from the one I created. HOW DO I GET AROUND THIS? I've been messing with it all week, and my project is due in a few hours. Thanks!
