Question

Cannot get brand fonts to work in Adobe Express

I am working on a very basic video for a brand which uses a Google Font as their typeface. I had the video completed except it was the incorrect font. So I've uploaded the font files and synced them with the brand. Now that I have tried to use the font in my project, I just keep getting the loading wheels spinning non stop for hours. My video layers have now been broken apart there is no longer a timeline, and nothing seems to help. I've cleared my cache, I've updated all my apps, I've restarted my computer.

Hi @nineth1rteen,

Thank you for reaching out! Is it happening with this video or all videos? Did you try adding another font to Check, if that helps? What font are you using?

Regards,

Tarun

I did try restarting a fresh project and still doesn't work. The font is Red Hat Display which is a Google Font. I tried uploading through Express, when that didn't work I uploaded through CC. I can see the font name, it says "unable to preview" and if I try and use it in the project Express just spins forever and crashes and I must force reload the page. I've tried in Chrome, Firefox and Safari with the same results. I honestly don't use Express very often, and this is the reason. I've always found it very laggy, I do work in it and it sometimes saves and other times it disappears into the ether.

Thanks for your response @nineth1rteen,

Please let us know the font file format you are using. Have you tried using another font? Delete the uploaded font from the brand kit, re-upload it, then reapply it in your project.
