Question

Continuing a numbered list onto a new page

Morning! I am creating a numbered list of sources that goes over a number of pages. The problem I'm facing is when I start adding my sources on the second page, the numbering starts counting from the beginning instead of cotinuing where I left off on the first page.  I first tried using text flow, but it doesn't allow for you to connect text boxes from different pages.  I'm hoping someone here has a solution or work around.

thank you in advance

Kerry

Hi @Kerry34335973uoig,

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about this. Thanks for sharing the details. Just to clarify a bit so we can point you in the right direction:

  1. Which app are you creating this in?
  2. How are you currently setting up the numbered list?

Can you share a screen recording of the issue you're experiencing? It will help us investigate further?

Regards,

Tarun

My teammates have created a document using Adobe Express.    On the first page of sources, I have two columns that I have connected using Text Flow.  By doing this, the numbering of sources easily continues from one column to the next.  However Text Flow doesn't allow a user to connect text boxes from two different pages.  So... I tried connecting the text boxes on page 2, but when I select numbered list, it starts over.  I removed Text Flow and tried adding the next number myself to see if that would initiate a numbered list... no luck.  So,  unfortunately my current method is to add an individual text box for each number on page 2. (see attached image) This method works but takes more time so I'm hoping for something a little easier

thanks!
