Departure of a team member/Admin - Adobe Express

Hi all,

One of my direct reports uses Adobe Express regularly to create reports. She has since departed. We have an internal recruit who has taken the role. I want be able to transfer the license/account to the new recruit. I am not a user in Adobe Express but I am an admin in Adobe (I think). I also pay for the license out of my budget.

Can anyone help me set up an account for a new recruit and transfer the license? I have tried looking in my account settings and my plans but I think because I am not the license holder for Adobe Express, I can’t see it.

Many thanks in advance.

Best wishes

Hi @casual_help424d - thanks for the detail! This is exactly what the Adobe Admin Console is built for, and you've correctly worked out why you can't see it in Express itself. License and user management for your organization happens in the Admin Console (the admin side of your Adobe account), not inside the Express app - which is why it's invisible from your own Express settings.

Here's the flow for what you're describing, all in the Admin Console:

→ To set up the new recruit: go to Users, select Add Users, enter their email, and assign the same product/license the previous team member had.
→ To handle the departed team member: go to Users, select them, and choose Remove Users. If your organization uses Adobe storage for business, you'll be given the option to transfer their content to a designated person (you can enter the email of whoever should receive it) - so the reports and files she created don't get lost in the process.

Adobe's step-by-step guide for both is here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/business/enterprise/users/users-and-groups/manage-users-individually.html

One thing to check: this all assumes you have admin access in the Admin Console. Since you pay for the license, you very likely do - but if you sign in and don't see these options, or the Admin Console itself, our team can confirm your admin role and get you sorted: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen.
