@mttplbkp great question. Currently in the beta you can import Illustrator, PDF or Photoshop files into Express and we will convert those files into editable Express files.

We are still working on the ability to save your own custom templates but hope to have that available soon. Once that's released, you'll be able to import and convert PSD, Ai, PDF files into Express files and then save them as your own Templates in Express.

In the future we do plan to support additional apps (such as InDesign) and are exploring ways to make creating templates in CC and sharing to Express more seamless. I would love to hear about your use cases!

When will it possible to design templates in Indesign and then edit in Express. I tried it with Illustrator and Photoshop files. But it doesn't take the layers and type with. This is an essential feature Adobe should offer. To design in Indesign and use it on the phone with Express. I've been using Canva, but I pay for Adobe Cloud too.

When is this feature coming for InDesign as this is where the bulk of template builds need to come from - not PSD files or Illustrator?

This is an essential feature.

Agencies design base templates for companies to create social media posts (by updating the info / photos / etc) and currently do it in In design or straight into CANVA or other programs. Adobe really needs to fix this, as graphic designers want to use In Design, however, the templates they create cant be moved into a platform for companies to manage their own posts. IOts a real gap.
