Difficult to edit Newsletter Template

I'm using Adobe Express.

It's really very difficult to edit the template. Even basic things like changing the default text isn't working for me. Plus there's no easy help option I can see aside from the generic learn feature which is not helpful.

What am I missing - currently I need to send out the newsletter fast but am not able to make progress?
