Directly access, read, or modify text elements already inside the user’s document

Question

Is there any way to directly access, read, or modify text elements already inside the user’s document using the plugin API?

When I click on a box to access document text I get the following console errors:

Starting document text check...

SDK ready

Document Sandbox API not available - showing fallback message

ChatGPT says this isn't possible with the 2025 version of the plugin API.
