Do I really have to PAY to resize an collage?

As someone who was forced to update their adobe express app on iOS, i cant express how dissapointed I am that i have to actually pay to resize a collage in this app. Not only that, I am stuck at a 1:1 aspect ratio??

Considering I pay you guys $120 a year for a photography package and cant easily do something as simple as this is incredibly dissapointing. This was never an issue with previous versions of Adobe Express.

Please tell me I am missing something here.

Hi @Eddie27261362celw

Sorry to hear that you are finding the inability to resize a collage upfront limiting enough that you want to delete the app. The team is aware of the gap, and will hopefully priortize this soon. Here is the specific uservoice request to upvote/comment on: https://adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express/suggestions/48719996-collage-maker-easier-resize-options

In the meantime, there is a workaround, even for a free user. I understand that it's more tedious and may not yield the most satisfying results, but here goes anyway

  1. After creating the collage using the quick action, click "Edit more" (this will create a new Express file with a square page containing the collage)
  2. Select the collage/grid and click "Detach background"
  3. Click "Copy"
  4. Add a new page with the desired aspect ratio
  5. Long-press to reveal the context menu and click "Paste"
  6. Click "Set background"

(Note that pasting to a separate page and the "Set background" step is not neccessarily required, but it will help specify the aspect ratio precisely and clear any whitespace around the collage. If that is not of importance to you, you can freely resize the collage on the first page itself using side handles. This is actually one of the capabilities of collage/grid in the new version: it does not have to stay pinned to the background. And you can add as many collages/grids on a page as you want)

I am also including a screen-recording (the order of steps are slightly different that listed above)

Hope this helps,

Hi @Eddie27261362celw, Welcome to our Adobe Express community!

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating it is to lose access to a feature you previously used freely with the recent changes. Resize is a premium feature now, and you need an Adobe Express premium plan to use all premium features. You can refer to the relevant plans here: https://adobe.ly/44iC4Oq

As for the aspect ratio in Collage maker, it is a beta feature as of now, and for the requirement for more aspect ratio options, you can post a suggestion directly to our product team here: https://adobe.ly/40b4by7

Let us know if this helped!

Best!

Hi Amitej, thank you for the response.

I will be deleting this app and finding an alternative.

It is embarrasing that I can remove objects from photos and use artificial intelligence to generate objects out of thin air using cloud computing with my current subscription, but the second I want to toss a few JPEGs together on a 2:3 or 4:5 template Adobe needs another $10 a month.

Get it together please.
