Element backgrounds not loading

For the last couple of days everytime I try to start a new project,  when I choose a background image in elements it is hit or miss on whether it loads. Restarting etc. does not seem to help. This is very frustrating, time wasting and honestly I'm getting to the point where i need to start using a more reliable programme...

I'm having the same issue. It may load a background for one page but after that it gives me an error message. This is incredibly frustruating when you're a premium member paying for the entire Adobe Suite. I really don't want a Canva subscription but Adobe Express has not been a good substitution so far.

Hi @Whitney34462612zhfn,

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about this. Could you please share the screenshot of the error you're getting? Are you on a VPN? Which operating system are you using? Is it a windows or a Mac?

Also, please make sure that the network endpoints listed on https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html are allowed.

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun

Hi Tarun,

Thanks for the quick response! I use a mac but work in Google Chrome as my browser and I'm not on a VPN (that I know of) as I'm an individual small business who works from home. This happens to just about any asset I try to add to any project essentially rendering Adobe Express useless which is just so disappointing. It give a quick pop up error message that just says "your media did not import please re-upload".

As to ensuring network endpoints are allowed, I'm nonestly not even sure what that means. This is falling into a tech support territory that I'm not familiar with as a solo entity.

This is a screenshot of a flyer template where I tried to upload a .png element and wasn't able to, I had to add it to my cloud library to use it and then I tried to add an Adobe Express element of a texture to the flyer, this is what that looked like after the small pop up error message mentioned earlier.

Hi @Michelle Knig299759207p2a, Welcome to our Adobe Express community!
Could you please share more details about the issue? Could you please share a screen recording of the workflow so we can investigate this further? Also, please let us know which platform you’re using: the mobile app (iOS/Android) or the desktop browser, and what type of project you’re working on.

Let us know what all trouble shooting steps have you tried.

We are here to help!

Best!

I don't have time to be doing a screen recording - basically pick any standad document size you want - i'm trying to create an a3 poster. Go to elements, search a random subject for a background e.g. sunset - click on any of them to add to your background. Nothing happens. I am a premium user using the browser version. This has been happening all week. No correlation between size of document or background subject.  Other than exit, reboot. cleat cache etc. Not too many options on the troubleshooting front. Hence coming here.

Thanks for sharing the details @Michelle Knig299759207p2a,

We tried replicating the issue on Edge and Chrome browsers on a desktop device, and it seems to work fine for us. I'd recommend trying again in private/incognito mode and switching the internet connectivity to see if that makes any difference. Ensure that you're not on any VPN or have an active firewall.

Hope this helps!

Thanks!
