Error when downloading translated PDF files in Adobe Acrobat

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue when using the automatic translation feature in Adobe Acrobat.

I need to translate several large PDF files. Since the translation tool has a limit of 99 pages at a time, I translate the documents in multiple batches.

The translation itself works correctly. However, after successfully translating approximately 20 pages, I try to download the translated file. The download progresses normally until it reaches exactly 90%, at which point I receive the following error message:

“An error occurred while downloading your file. Please try again.”

The same issue occurs even if I try to download only a single translated page.

Could you please advise how I can resolve this issue? I have several PDF files that need to be translated, so this is currently preventing me from completing the work.

Please let me know if you need any additional information, screenshots, or example files to investigate the issue.

Thank you in advance for your help! 🙏

    @Rose DV Hello Rose,

Thank you for the excellent advice, it really helped! I managed to translate and download the files, although I had to use two different browsers to complete the process.

I translated the files in one browser, then opened the translated files in the other browser to download them. For some reason, I couldn’t complete both steps in the same browser, but this workaround did the trick. I hope it also helps others experiencing the same issue.

    Have a good one!

    Best regards,

    Hi @Henri37511307h14b, Thanks for posting!

Can you confirm once if the Adobe app you're working on is the Adobe Express app or the Adobe Acrobat app, for us to check this?

    Hi!

I first use Adobe Acrobat, and from there I continue working in Adobe Express through a web browser, which is where the problem occurs.

    Hi there,

Thanks for confirming, that helps. Since the translation itself finishes and it's only the download in Express (web) that stops at 90%, and it happens even on a single page, the fastest things to rule out are in the browser and network rather than the file itself.

    Worth trying:

    • Open Express in a different browser, or an incognito/private window (that loads with no extensions). If the download works there, an extension like an ad blocker, download manager, or VPN is the likely cause, so turn those off one at a time in your usual browser.

    • Try a different network if you can, since some work or VPN connections cut off downloads partway through.

If it still stops at 90% in a clean browser on a different network, that points to something on our side rather than your setup. If you get there, can you share:

    • Your browser and OS

    • Whether it fails on every file or just this one

That gives me enough to look into it properly. If you'd rather have support check your account and files directly in the meantime, you can reach them here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
