Feature Request/rollback of old feature: Using/duplicating a template deletes the file name of said template

Hi peeps,

I wanted to request a new feature, or rather, because I think it used to be this way, a rollback to an old state regarding the use of templates in Express.

When I duplicate/use a template to work from and said template has a specific name, when it opens a new file from it, it deletes the name und just says “Unkown … Date … Time” etc. I have to then go back manually into the template folder to copy and paste the template name back into the new file. Which is extremely tiresome.

A while ago it just carried the template name over to the new file. Please change it back to how it was. It is unnecessary and bothersome and such a small thing that makes the user experience a lot worse.

Please forward this to the devs!

Thanks a lot and all the best.

Hi @Leon314694285i23, Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback.

I can see how losing the template name every time you create a copy adds unnecessary extra work, especially if you're working with multiple templates.

We'll share your feedback with the team.

I'd also suggest you post or upvote this as a feature request on Adobe Express UserVoice so others with the same workflow can support it. Feedback like this helps the team prioritize future improvements.

    Best!
