Question

Free plan for nonprofit

Hello, at our organization—Kutná Hora Library —we enjoy using Adobe Express; specifically, my PR colleague and I do. We took advantage of the offer for nonprofits providing a free annual plan. I successfully received the code for Adobe Express, but my colleague consistently receives a discount code for Adobe Acrobat Pro instead. I even tried the process for her just as I had done for myself, but the result was the same: an Acrobat discount. What are we doing wrong?

I managed to get one of my colleagues a free nonprofit Adobe Express license through the process I outlined earlier (I sign up as admin@example-nonprofit.org, make mulitple applications through Goodstack using that email address, then forward individual Goodstack approvals to my colleagues).

She used her own colleague@example-nonprofit.org email address to sign into Adobe.

I add this here for other users stymied by the lack of clear documentation for nonprofits.

Hi everyone, thanks for the help. It’s all sorted out now. However, I couldn't reach an agreement with the support agent; he insisted I had to buy a license. Every single employee has to submit their own request for approval. I understood and did that, but the Express license didn't arrive until the fifth attempt. The four times before that, I just received a discount offer for Acrobat Pro. All the best.

Hey @KnihovnaKH & @psychotropicDC - I’m going to send you a DM, would love to know which organizations you’re working with. Hopefully I can get someone internally to take a deeper look once I have that information!

    Thank you,

    Rose

I have been approved for Adobe Express for nonprofits several times but have not yet been able to extend accounts to other people in my organization. Goodstack doesn’t know. The Adobe chatbot hasn’t a clue.

The process may or may not be requesting multiple approvals through Goodstack using the same organizational email and forwarding the resulting Goodstack confirmation to colleagues.

Supposedly there are humans who can answer questions, but they don’t work on Saturdays. (Request contact through chatbot.)

I wonder if free subscriptioins for others to join Adobe Express for nonprofits actually works. I’m amazed that Adobe processes are even more broken than Microsoft’s, but there is no bottom in the cloud apps game. (It’s going to get worse with AI.)

Hey @psychotropicDC - I was able to track down the correct reply to your question within the Terms for Non-profit Product Offerings, section 3:

    Acrobat Pro and Adobe Express:

    • Each product license is issued to a single named user and may not be shared. If your organization requires multiple licenses, each individual user must complete the validation process and obtain separate approval.

So you’ll need to get your colleagues to go ahead and submit their own requests from there. Thanks for bringing your question to the forums and your patience as I looked into it

Let us know if you run into any further issues!

Each individual user uploads our IRS form? I don’t think so. This is an example of how your documentation for this process is terrible.

What are the steps that we need to go through to get multiple users on our free nonprofit Adobe Express Premium account?

    My guess:

    • get initial approval for nonprofit via Goodstack, using a nonprofit organization administrator email address
    • after organizational approval, using the SAME ADMINISTRATOR EMAIL ADDRESS, request a Goodstack approval for each additional member -- select the organization from Goodstack’s drop-down
    • after Goodstack sends the additional approval to the administrator emall address, FORWARD the email (which contains a login link) to the member
    • member joins using the login link in the Goodstack approval email
    • repeat for each member -- the nonprofit org administrator must forward a fresh, separate Goodstack approval to each member
    • do not reuse Goodstack approval emails for multiple members (?)
    • in a year, your nonprofit approval will expire -- go through this dumb process all over again
