Help Needed – Colour Consistency Issues in Instagram Carousel Created with Illustrator & Express

Hello, I’ve been testing & using the web based version of Express to create Instagram carousel designs & I’d really appreciate some help with a couple of issues I’m running into.

I’m designing the carousels in Adobe Illustrator, exporting them as AI files & uploading them into Express. I’ve tried creating a carousel template with a solid background colour that runs consistently across all pages. However, when I upload the final design to Instagram, I notice a slight shift in colour at the page breaks, which disrupts the seamless look I’m aiming for. I haven’t found a way to keep the colour perfectly consistent across swipes.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a recommended workflow or setting to avoid this issue?

Hi Tarum, thank you for replying back. The file format is AI & the colour profile is RGB in Illustrator. It happens after I’ve posted the Express files (png & mp4) into Instagram & it’s happening on all of the files I have worked on unfortunately.

Appreciate any help & support on this.

Thanks,

Ross

Hi @flashashton27,

We're sorry to hear about this. To help troubleshoot, could you share a bit more about your current workflow?

  1. Which file format and color profile are you using when exporting from Illustrator?
  2. Does the color shift appear while still in Express, or only after posting to Instagram?
  3.  Is it happening with all files or specific to this one?

We're here to help, just need some info.

Regards,

Tarun
