Horrible Update - October 2025
Idea submission: Undo the most recent update.
- The "Media", "Elements", and "Charts and Grids" are now under an "Add Content" button instead of just being on the side bar where they used to be. When I want to add an image to my flyer, WHY would I want to click add content > media every time I want to add media instead of being able to easily add media?? Why is there now another step everytime I want to add a design element? In what world would I, a user, want the user experience to take longer than it used to?
- "File name" is no longer in the top bar where I can easily read what I named the file. I now have to click the down arrow to see/edit the file name. Again, why add another step? What used to be one step is now two, but in an extra inconvient way because it doesn't even show me what the current file name is unless I click it.
- Continuing with the theme of adding another step where there didn't used to be one; to change the background of the paper, you have to click "edit page" > "background", instead of it just living in the top bar where I could toggle the background color in one easy step. Did y'all consult ANY user before making this update? Yes, hiding all the features behind things looks "cleaner" but it's less FUNCTIONAL.
The new update just adds an unnecessary step for the users and activily makes the user experience worse. It's ridiculous to complicate something that worked great. What's next? I have to go through 10 steps to access the "templates" tab? Let's hide the "Text" option behind the "Add Content" too while you're at it. Let's hide all the featrures! Why not? Why make things better for users when we can make it worse? Why would anyone want to do 1 step to edit a file when we could do 15?
Annoying.
