How to get more people using Adobe Express
Hi everyone,
How do we get more people to embrace Adobe Express?
I recently hosted a face-to-face Adobe workshop. I was able to piggy back off a trainee teacher event, held at the end of the school year to celebrate them passing their year. The event was done over an ‘Afternoon Tea’ (England based).
- Food is always an excellent hook
I was keen to target new teachers as
- they more ‘mouldable’.
Not set in their ways they are more likely to try something new and innovative, plus I feel more likely to embrace opportunities for technology.
I opened with my own teaching journey and experience of using Adobe Express. I followed the loosely structure of ‘I do, we do, you do’. I initially showcased different types of pupil work from websites→ videos. I then did a demonstration on a pre-made assignment, getting others from the audience to participate at the front. Finally they had time to explore the platform and challenged to make something relevant to their classroom.
- worked examples and
- time to explore and play
Finally I finished by sharing the Adobe deck template of 20 Quick tips to get started. Hopefully they can explore and ponder it over the summer and enter their classrooms in September ready to try it out…
- closing with a comic creator of the workshop left them wanting more
