How to turn off auto numbering in Adobe Express - but keep a numbered list

Question

I want to turn off or disable the auto numbering in Adobe Express - I know that I can select the Numbered List button and it will remove the numbering - but the issue is that this button also removes my number " 1. " that is written, rather than keeping the number and simply turning off the auto feature.

I don't want the extra spacing that the auto numbering creates but want to write my number with the period format, so how can I keep this text in my preferred format? This is only happening for the number one. There has to be a way for me to write this number without the auto spacing.

Hey, @lauren_1676, I tried replicating the issue you mentioned, but it worked fine. Can you share a screen recording of the workflow you're following with the written number '1' disappearing when using the numbered list option?
