I am not a fan of the new Adobe Express on my pc. Unable to access layers information or download

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to skip the new Adobe Express? I have had great success in the past with the old app when I am doing quick designs for posters, e-mails, texts. Not so with the new app. Suddenly Zazzel is front and center. Layers are not accessable. Is there help out there, please.
