when I try to add an adobe stock image or design asset it doesn't load. text to image isn't working either

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Adobe Express is dependent on internet connectivity to load images. So, if you had a weak or intermittent internet connection, that could be an explanation. If you have a stable/fast internet connection I would trying these:

For Express on a computer in a web browser:

Test in different browsers - Chrome, Edge, Safari
Try clearing the browser cache - https://adobe.ly/49n6p0t
Test in incognito/private browsing mode - https://adobe.ly/49jF67m
Ensure the browser and operating system are up to date, reboot the computer

For Express on a mobile device

Force restart the device - https://adobe.ly/3OE2zqc
Close all other apps other than Adobe Express
Uninstall and reinstall the app
