InDesign Export to Adobe Express changes colors in placed Illustrator file

Question

I have a multi-page Adobe InDesign file that is a series of flyers. It uses the "Web" intent in the InDesign document set-up. On each page, a placed Illustrator graphic is used, which is RGB. When exporting the file to Express, the RGB colors in type stay the same, but the colors in the placed Illustrator file (within the InDesign file) are changed. They become dull, as if they have changed to CMYK. Is there a fix for this? (PS: My profile says I am an Adobe employee, but I am not. I retired 5 years ago!)

I have the same problem. Changing the RGB color profile in InDesign from "sRGB IEC6.." to "Adobe RGB" helped.
Then it looks a little bit off in InDesign, but exporting to Adobe Express looks significantly better. Still not perfect, but it works for me.
