Is it possible to add a border to text shape?

I'm trying to replicate one of my company's existing template for a video: it's a pill-shaped text-box with black text, white fill, black border. I can create the shape and add text above it, but the centering is not consistent if it needs to be adjusted. It would be simpler to use the text shape tool, since it automatically adapts, but the filled pill-shape doesn't have a border option, and the bordered-pill only has a transparent fill. Is there really no way to have both?

Hi @Antoine34728811w1vs,

Adobe Express currently doesn't support adding borders to filled text shapes (like pill/rounded rectangles) directly. However, you can achieve this effect by creating a text shape with a white fill, duplicating it, removing the fill from the duplicate, adding a stroke (border), and slightly enlarging it to create an outline. Place the bordered duplicate behind the original for a clean look. For precise alignment, group both layers.
