Question

Is there a way to export a compressed/smaller PDF sizes in Adobe Express?

When exporting a project from Adobe Express, the PDF Standard option feels very limiting, and I think it should include a “Compress file” option, especially since it’s described as “Best for Documents.”

For example, I have a four-page digital report that, when exported, is 32mb, which is too large to attach to an email. The images used are high resolution, which is likely the problem, but the images used are from a brand kit. If we need to supply two versions of every photo (a high-res, for print version and a low-res, for digital), that’s adding complexity that could be fixed with a compression option at export.

I know how to compress a PDF using Acrobat or other means, but having to ask our clients to use a second program for such a basic function seems like an oversight on the part of Adobe Express.

Hi @defaulte9koqmw6i5q8, Thanks for sharing such detailed feedback and the use case.

A PDF compression option at export would certainly make the workflow easier, especially for digital reports where the print quality of high-resolution Brand Kit assets may not be necessary.

For now, you can use Adobe Acrobat’s online Compress PDF tool to reduce the file size after exporting. I’d also recommend sharing this as a feature request on the Adobe Express UserVoice, as your example of a 4-page report reaching 32 MB provides a clear use case for adding digital, email, or custom compression options at export.

    Hope this helps!
