Issues with product donations through Goodstack
Goodstack is a nightmare!
I work in the non-profit world with multiple organizations and I've been using AdobeExpress since it's launch and LOVE this platform!! Abobe has been so gracious to provide product subscription grants to non-profits through Techsoup, which has been a game changer for the small non-profits I work with. The recent change from grant administration from Techsoup to Goodstack, to say frustrating is an understatement. The organization approval process is rediculous and then they require some employees to provide proof of employment and others not. They're arbitraily saying that the organization is not eligible, eventhough it's already been approved. I work for a small non-profit that needs 2 subscriptions. We provide grants to colleges to start prorams for students with intellectual disabilties and provide scholarships to students with intellectual disabilites to attend those programs. This is the response I received:
"In this case, based on the information available, your organization has been classified under Special Education (Organisations that provide educational services, including special placement and individualised programming based on individual's needs e.g. for pupils with disabilities). For this program, organizations in this category are not eligible for the discount."
First of all, SHAME on Adobe for discriminating against Special Education organizations!
Secondly, I explained that the organization provides GRANTS for start-ups and scholarships, it does not "provide educational services." But Goodstack can just arbitarily put the organization in a category and leave them there with no recourse. The annual subscription fee may not be much to larger organizations, but for us that $ could be used for a scholarship to a student with intellectual disabilites to attend college and gain employment and life skills.
This feels like a real bait & switch from Adobe. We built our workflows using the product via a grant subscription and now they're making us pay.
