Looking for an easier way to record PPT slides in Express

Many of the faculty at our university are interested in creating a narrated video lecture in Express based on the PowerPoint slides that are uploaded to Express. Currently, this process is not an easy one since the PowerPoint slides are recognized in Express as a Presentation as opposed to a Video. Are there any plans at Adobe to make this process less cumbersome?

Hi @Ginny L Thompson, thanks for sharing this!

PowerPoint files are treated as presentations in Adobe Express, which can make creating narrated video lectures less straightforward.

Could you share more details on the workflow you’d expect and what would make this process easier for you?

    Best!

It will be helpful to have a way to convert a Presentation that has been uploaded to Express to an Express Video.

At present, this is the workflow:

    1. Import a PowerPoint file
    2. Go to File in pull down menu and select “convert to Express File”
    3. Do voice over recording
    4. Click on the “Download” button, selecting “All pages” (produces zip file with multiple MP4 files)
    5. Use Merge Video tool
