Older Adobe Express Webpages unavailable?

This is also happening to me and all of my sudents. Express webpages that were previously all viewable are all getting 404 errors. Have tried different browsers, different wifi, different times. Would love to have this fixed before school starts next week as having students post their work to their express portfolio is a huge part of my class.

I’m not sure this is the case. I was signed in on the school’s adobe account and was not able to view the pages. I was able to see newly created pages, so this also seems incongruent with this assesment. I will still check with the IT team and see if this is something they can address.

@shannons34520028 - understood! I would definitely try republishing to see if that impacts anything as well, and let me know!

I did republish and was still getting 404 error. I cannot ask every student to republish sites for classes they are no longer enrolled in.

Yes the project opens and am able to edit, but when shared, the link leads to the 404 error.

Hi @shannons34520028! I've heard back from the team!

It looks like a publishing restriction has been turned on at the organization level on your school's Adobe account. With that setting on, published Express webpages can only be opened by people signed in with your organization's account - so anyone outside the org, or anyone not signed in, gets the 404 you've been seeing. The pages aren't gone; they're just locked to org members right now.

There are two ways forward, depending on who needs to see the pages:

→ If the pages only need to be viewed by people signed into your school's Adobe account: try republishing one of the affected pages, then check whether it opens for a signed-in org member. Republishing runs it back through the current settings and should restore access.

→ If the pages need to be publicly viewable — so students, parents, or anyone with the link can see the portfolios: this is controlled at the org level, so whoever manages your school's Adobe account (usually your IT or admin team) will need to turn off the org-level publishing restriction. Once that's done, the pages should be reachable again.

The fix itself is quick - the main thing is getting it to the right person if it's the admin route.

Please let me know if this works!!

Hi @shannons34520028, thank you for flagging this, and I completely understand the urgency!

Since you've already ruled out browsers, wifi, and timing, a couple of things that would help us move quickly:

    • Could you share one or two of the affected portfolio links (yours and a student's) so our team can look directly? Feel free to send it to me via DM, since this is a public forum.

    • Are all the affected sites long-published/older sites, or does this also affect any newly published sites?

If I create a new site, it seems to work but I cannot access any of the sites created last year. My colleague is having the same issue. Here are some example URLs:

It seems like you updated the interface of adobe express recently and pages created last year do not work now. Oddly, pages created 2 years ago seem to be working.

Hi Shannon - this is really helpful, thank you!!

I'm escalating now with the example links you shared. One quick thing that'll help the team pin it down:

→ When you open one of those older projects in Your stuff, does the project still open in the editor even though the published webpage 404s?

I’ll update you here as soon as I hear back.
