Parallelogram crop no longer functional?

Today, as I do everyday… I went to make a thumbnail.  But, to my dismay I found that parallelogram crop no longer worked as it had the day before. Now.. the image is completely locked, you can no longer drag the parameters outside of the image, making it nearly impossible to get the crop angle that I want or section of the image that I want. I thought this had to be a bug so I logged in on another browser, same thing.

What gives? Why has this function become worse suddenly? 

I honestly don’t want an answer. I want a solution. Make it the way it was 24 hours ago.
