Question

Resized and transparency

So this new app down sized all my designs. From 4500x 5400, to 1000x1200.

So now they want me to pay for it to get my original size back.

To fix everything to make it transparent, there like another 4 clicks you have to do.

When you create a new project. Just picking a plain solid background, is a pain.

Hundreds of designs are now messed up because of this crap.

The new app sucks.

People have been complaining about it for like the last year. That things are broken, it's not user friendly.

And do you think that they care? No. They don't care.

They forced that's crappy, non user intuitive app onto everyone.

This happened to me too. What’s the fix? Upgrade only? That’s silly and my projects were made when I had purchased a subscription. I’m just trying to download it again, I pay for cloud storage currently.

Hi @Lemonadealy ,

Apologies on the delay in response - to clarify, it sounds like your Express subscription itself may have lapsed even though you're still paying for cloud storage, those are separate things, and the original export resolution/quality is likely tied to having an active Express subscription rather than storage alone.

If you'd like to confirm what's included in your current plan, or explore your options for getting full-resolution downloads back, our support team can look into your account directly: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen

In the meantime, if it helps for a few files, Abhi mentioned a workaround further up this thread (download as PDF, then convert to image), though I know that's not practical for if you have many designs.

Had I just saved the files, there wouldn’t be an issue but maybe Adobe can offer a fix for this and give access to previous projects instead of forcing the consumers to purchase an additional subscription.

Hi @Saul22601443frm9

Thanks for your post; I understand your frustration about this issue not having been fixed despite reports going back over a year.

I was wondering if your ultimate concern is about the pixel size (hence, quality) of the downloaded image. In that case, could the following workaround help: download as PDF, then convert it to an image using something like https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/pdf-to-image

(I am suggesting this because I've been told that the information about the export size/resolution of the file from the previous version is retained during conversion, and PDF export does use that information)

Thanks

That is a lot more work to do. I have close to 500 designs.

That would take days.
