SVG Unsupported file type

Why is SVG an unsupported file type with Adobe Express? 

I have been building an icon library for our company and found otherwise that SVG is the best format. SVGs work excellent as a CC Library with Illustrator and InDesign, plus SVGs can be easily used in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Wordpress, and Canva. I had been hopeful to switch our company's basic design users from Canva to Adobe Express, but this is a significant limitation.
