Text tool in Express suddenly stopped working - completely

I am totally baffled. I have used Express for most of this year. Decades experience with other Adobe apps and all.

 

Suddenly, out of the blue, I cannot produce ANY text. Until yesterday, that always functioned perfectly! Whether I start a new project or opening an old one for revisions. Nothing works any longer.

 

I click on the T for text entry, the screen that opens looks somewhat different. I may be wrong with that. Then I proceed to add text via the blue oblong unit and the familiar "Add your new text block appears"

 

And then, that's it. Absolutely nothing can be entered and achieved any longer! Dead as a Dodo. I simply cannot enter any text whatsoever. I am completely stuck. Most of my work requires text!

 

This is on my PC, the browser version. The mobile app works as just fine.

I actually opened a new tab and proceeded to download Express again. No difference at all.

No changes to my PC at all. Windows 10, always up-to-date.

 

Please somebody, help me out of this morass. I need to be able to function.

Did you manage to fix this? I have not been able to. Text flow does not let me produce any actual text.

  3. Disable Extensions: If you’re using the web version, try disabling any browser extensions that might interfere with Adobe Express.
