There is a glitch when typing/renaming the file. After typing the letter or the (.) it highlights the entire name and obviously it gets deleted

Hello ​@Mauricio27756937dr1f Further to ​@Tarun Saini message I was actually doing this yesterday. If you need a full stop/period in your file name, type it quickly so there is always a letter after the dot. If you do that it doesn’t get the chance to tell you you are wrong and delete your typing. 

For example: MyGreat.Filename will work if you type it quickly enough. I sometimes need numbers at the beginning of my filenames and this is how I get around that problem.

Thanks for reaching out! We’re sorry to hear about your experience. I tried to rename a file by adding a few letters, and it's working fine for me. Also, you cannot use the dot (.) at the end.
