Hi @lee_9004,

Thanks for reaching out! To translate an English image into Chinese using Adobe Express:

  1. Upload your image to the editor.

  2. When prompted to define the region, simply draw a box around the text you'd like to translate.

  3. Select Chinese as the target language.

If you're having trouble defining the region, try zooming in or using the lasso or selection tool more precisely. Alternatively, you can use Adobe Scan to extract the text, translate it, and re-import it into your design.

Let us know if you need further help—we’re here for you!

Best,

Thank you for your reply. May I know how to  "draw a box around the text" when I push the "translate" button in adobe express? Since I cannot do it.
In addition, you mention about the Adobe scan can do it. May I know can I do it in Adobe acrobat?
Thank you so much

Hi @lee_9004,

Thanks for your follow-up!

In Adobe Express, when you tap the Translate button, it should guide you to select the text area by drawing a box. If you're unable to draw the box:

  • Make sure the image is selected.

  • Try tapping and dragging your finger or mouse across the text area.

  • If it still doesn’t work, try restarting the app or updating it to the latest version.

As for Adobe Scan — yes, it’s great for extracting text (OCR). You can scan your image, extract the English text, then paste it into a translation tool or back into Express.

And yes, Adobe Acrobat also allows text selection and editing in PDFs. If your image is saved as a PDF, you can:

  1. Open it in Acrobat.

  2. Use Edit PDF to select and copy the text.

  3. Translate it using a translation tool, then replace or add the translated text.

Let us know if you’d like a step-by-step guide on any of these. We're happy to help!

Best regards,

^MM
