Question

Unable to download gifs

I’ve created an image and used the animation to bring it to life, however when I click to download as gif I receive an error message to say I can’t download it. It allows me to download it as png/jpg but unable to download as gif/mp4.

Hi, sorry you're running into this. The official troubleshooting steps for downloads and exports that fail in Adobe Express are these — please try them in order:

    1. Check the Adobe status page for an active Adobe Express incident, and wait until the upload indicator on each asset in your project has cleared, then try the export again.

    2. Refresh your session: update your browser (or the Adobe Express desktop app, if you use it) to the latest supported version, sign out of Adobe Express and sign back in, then clear your browser cache and cookies (on the web) or restart the desktop app.

    3. Check that your page size is within the supported range for the format — GIF animation: 50 x 50 px to 4096 x 4096 px; MP4 video: 146 x 146 px to 4096 x 4096 px.

    4. Try the export on a different network, such as a mobile hotspot, and turn off your VPN if you use one.

If none of these work, that same page explains how to report the problem to Adobe, including the details to include. Let us know how you get on!
