Unable to open old files

I am not able to open any of my files after this update! It either says trouble converting them, or they are unable to open after the conversion.

Hey @Ebony5DEF

 

A Fix has been deployed for the error in Webpage conversion. You will need to re-trigger the Webpage conversion.

 

Before starting the process, you need to first find the incorrectly converted projects & delete them. They will be under 'YOUR STUFF.'

Make sure you DO NOT DELETE the projects inside the [ORIGINALS] Folder.

 

After you've deleted post-conversion file(s) that won't open

  1. Go to the [Originals] folder
  2. Click on the original file thumbnail; this brings up a dialog saying that the file is already converted (but that doesn't matter)
  3. Click the "Open converted file" button; this will re-trigger the conversion.
  4. After conversion completes, the file should open.
  5. The re-converted file will be in the [Originals] folder, but you can move it out
  6. Keep the Original file in the [Originals] folder for posterity

 

Please let us know if you can get the affected web project properly after following these steps.

Me too so frustrating. I've tried so many now I have no idea which are originals

Could you please explain in more detail what you are experiencing? What happens when you try to open a file created in the previous version of Adobe Express? A screenshot would help.

My original comment seems to have been deleted.

Clearing my cookes worked for all but one of my webpages that did not convert properly. I would like to get this information back.

It also looks like the feature to see the number of views is gone. Can we get this back, please?

Glad to hear that clearing cookies worked for you. 

 

As for the project that did not convert properly, can you provide us the details if there we missing images or content after conversion or if the project didn't convert at all? 

 

And, regarding the number of views on published projects, you can send a feature request directly to our product team here.

The file never converted. See screenshot of error message. In that process of trying to convert, the file is now blank. There is no text, video, images, nothing. Please see second screenshot attached.

Can you give it a try after clearing the cache/cookies of the browser you use? Also, let us know if you worked on just the mobile app or the webapp or used both platforms.

I am from the same problem, I use a PC .

It says you can't modify or open files, you can just download the file ...
