Using a template and where that file saves to automatically

I have flagged this as an issue before but as the one who builds all the templates, when I test using it as a template. This version automatically saves itself into the shared template folder with everyone else to see my “untitled test files”. How do I change this location to save in My Stuff only?

    Thanks for reaching out! We’re sorry to hear about this. Could you please let us know, when you convert it into a template, what location you see on the left-hand side? Please check the screenshot for more info-

    Also, when exactly do you see the “Save file to” pop up on your screen?

    The screenshot I attached is from one of the team that I create the editable templates for. Its popping up for them regardless of which template they want to use, with another member reporting the same thing happening. Previously, when they wanted to use a template, it would automatically save in their stuff.

    When I export my templates I am sending them to the correct folders that have set up in my Projects - destination of where i save them, is always different but they go to that greyed out project you see on the screenshot, this is my master projects template folder.

    In my case when I test one of my templates and ‘use it ‘rather than ‘edit it’, that copy of the template auto saves itself into this shared templates folder and all my team can see it, which is very annoying as I have to delete them manually to stop them showing up - these too should be auto-saving in my stuff, not where my team can see them (I have added that as a seperate help question)

    I have had a couple of my team ask if Adobe Express has made an update. Whenever someone is now using a template, instead of this saving to “My Stuff” automatically they are being asked to choose a project? some are and some aren’t getting this window so is it a glitch or a new feature I need to advise the team about
