Question

Where can I find my uploaded media, and can you clip images to custom shapes?

Hello, I have a couple questions:

Question 1: I was wondering where I would find my uploaded media (When uploading from the 'Media' tab, and 'Upload from device').

  • I am aware I could upload to my brand library, but I was wondering if there was a generic media folder to revert back to (some assets aren't really for a specific brand, but I use for multiple clients?).

Question 2: In CANVA there's a hack to upload a PDF to your media, and then one could use a custom shape as a clipping mask, is there something like that similar for Adobe Express? If not that would be awesome to add!

Thanks!

Hello Kehna, let me answer question 2 first. It is possible to crop an image to a shape effectively as a clipping mask. This works for Stock as well as uploaded images. Select the image on your canvas, choose Crop from the panel on the left, and it will change to offer all the shape options.

When you upload from device (as I have in the above screenshot) that image is only within that specific project. There is no uploaded media file as such.

However, you can create a Library for all your media that doesn't fit within your Brand - you can create as many Libraries as you like! Go to the Your Stuff tab, then Brands & Libraries and click the + icon.

I hope that helps 👍
