Why is Adobe Express so bad on an IPad?

Anyone else having these problem working on an IPad? It’s an IPad Air, less than a year old.

Apart from the items I want to edit flying up or down, despite me moving them very slowly, and the zoom not working well, and the side menu taking more room than the space needed to work on.  These are all little glitches that I’ve gotten used to. But my main frustration is the edit/resize bar just won’t go away. Once it appears it stays there.  This means I cannot see the top of my work properly.  It’s just always there on top of whatever I’m working on.
I asked support months ago and the response was to “tap anywhere else on the page and it will disappear!”  As if I’m a child.  No, it doesn’t, that’s why I’m contacting support.  In fact their whole attitude was as if I must be wrong.  I shouldn’t have to get used to these errors and it does make work longer than it should be.
This time I’m not accepting it, I want to know why. Why won’t the box/bar go away?  It should only appear when I’ve selected something to edit/resize, right?  And yes, it SHOULD disappear when nothing is selected.

so frustrating.

Hi @carolineD25,

Welcome to the Adobe Express community, and thank you for sharing such detailed feedback. I’m sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you’ve been having on your iPad, especially when it’s affecting your ability to work efficiently.

Regarding the general glitches you mentioned, it’s worth ensuring that your iPad has sufficient free storage available, as low storage can sometimes impact performance. If possible, please try freeing up some space and let us know if that improves things.

For the Edit/Resize bar specifically, as a temporary workaround, you can try slightly zooming out or tapping on an empty area of the canvas to deselect the object, which may cause the bar to move or fade. That said, we recognize this isn’t ideal and doesn’t always work as expected.

I’d encourage you to share your feedback here, which is monitored by our product team:https://adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express

Regards,

Tarun

Hi Tarun, as I said before zooming out or tapping an empty area doesn’t fade or move it.  Zooming out only makes the bar slightly move to the left, but still not out of the way of the document I am working on. AND NEVER DISAPPEARS AS IT SHOULD.

Last night I was working on a project and the … (3 dots) in the edit bar just wouldn’t work at all.  I wanted to use the Group function but had to move each element separately because the drop-down menu didn’t work.  Something is very wrong.

I have 45% free space on my Ipad.  That is not considered ‘low’ is it?  Most is taken up by the system anyway, as I upload to OneDrive.
