Question

Why is the Font sizing different than every other program?

If I was to use times new roman in canva, word, google docs or anywhere else a normal size would be around 12. The ranges for similar size font is huge. What is this? I'm trying to put text on a 3 x 5 card with sophia text and even at 39 the font is super small. I tried with a different font and the sizing is weird on all of them. How is this possible? How do you figure out what sizing you need? I like some of the features on here better than canva but this font issue is making it feel unusable.

Hi @Jeannie37902194eaca,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We can confirm that our team has discovered a mismatch between document units and font units, resulting in text being displayed smaller than anticipated. The text assumes a point size of 1/72 inch, while the default letter-sized Express document assumes a point size of 1/300 inch.

While our development team is actively working to resolve this issue, we understand the importance of providing you with a solution. As a temporary “workaround,” we recommend creating pages with pixel dimensions that align with the 1/72-inch density. For instance, for a 11x8.5-inch document, we suggest using the dimensions of 792x612.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work diligently to address this matter.

Thank you,

Neelam

I have no idea what you're talking about. What I'm saying is if I use a
similar font on canva it would be size 10 or 12. On adobe it says 39, 40,
42. I have no idea what that equates to. The numbers are huge.

Did you ever figure out what the conversion is?
