3D asset

Hi there,

I've downloaded a material, for example this one from the 3D assets page. When I open it in Substance Designer, I can't get any previews to show up, it's locked in the explorer and when I attempt to export it as bitmaps, it never actually does anything. It says it is, but nothing happens. Am I missing something?

Hi @Skyler29078960s0mz ,

Yyou are downloading the sbsar, which is the only available format for this particular materials (no sbs) as it is based on a scan.
If you want to access the material graph that is only possible for procedural materials in the sbs format - you can filter by either "procedural" or "sbs" on the plaform to be able to have only those, and then you can choose your download format on the asset page.

It is however still possible to display sbsar in Designer, you have to:
- create a new graph with sbsar outputs,
- drag n drop the sbsar in the graph,
- connect the outputs.
Then you will be able to export the maps.
