Question

Redistribution of Substance 3D Assets textures in an Unreal Engine asset pack

Hello,

I would like to confirm whether my use of an Adobe Substance 3D Assets material is permitted under the current Substance 3D Assets license.

I downloaded a material from Adobe Substance 3D Assets and imported it into Substance 3D Painter. I then exported its texture maps for Unreal Engine:

  • Base Color

  • Normal

  • ORM (Occlusion/Roughness/Metallic)

I imported these textures into Unreal Engine and used them on 3D prison wall meshes that I created myself, with my own modeling and UVs.

I am currently preparing a commercial Unreal Engine environment asset pack that I intend to sell on Fab. The exported texture files are included in the Unreal project because they are required by the Unreal materials.

I have also made some adjustments to the material, including changes to its colors/tints.

My question is:

Am I allowed to distribute these exported texture files as part of my Unreal Engine asset pack sold on Fab, or would this be considered redistribution of the original Substance 3D Asset?

The textures are not being sold as a standalone texture/material pack; they are used as part of my larger environment asset pack and applied to my own 3D meshes.

Could you please confirm whether this use and redistribution is permitted under the Substance 3D Assets license?

Thank you.
