Condensed variant of Arno Pro?
I am doing a second book in a series for a client, and for all the usual reasons want to keep the design and look as consistent as possible.
The first was done in 13pt Arno Pro for the body, and ran to 258 pages in all. The second book is going to be about 50% longer in content and the author (and I, as publisher) want to keep the print edition under 300 pages. I am not sure body tweaks (12pt on a point less leading, etc.) will get the content into that space.
I chose Arno for its many faces but now note it has no condensed or narrow form.
Does anyone have good recommendations for a font that will closely resemble Arno (an average reader should not be able to notice any difference, side by side) but with a more compact horizontal dimension? At least six weights (+Semibold) would be useful as well.
Thanks!
